Sustainability and taking care of the environment is important to us. We were granted Finlands environmental management system EcoCompass Certificate in December 2022. In the beginning of 2023 we were approved as a sustainable travel destination in accordance Sustainable Travel Finlands (STF) sustainability program.

We want to do our part for the wellbeing of the people, animals and nature of the future. What is a given today might not still be in the future if we destroy the environment. With small steps we can all be sustainable and care for the environment.

• We bake our own pastries and bread
• We use fruits and berries from our own garden
• We shop domestically produced products whenever possible
• We coordinate our purchases to reduce shopping trips
• We serve food and drinks in porcelain dishes
• We sort our waste
• We use eco-friendly cleaning products
• We recycle materials and shop at thrift stores
• We request that our visitors consider the environment
• We heat our spaces with geothermal heating

Environmental pledge

We consider the environment at all stages and make improvements wherever it's feasible. We separate waste, bake our own pastries and cakes and use domestically produced products whenever possible, recycle construction materials and heat most buildings with geothermal heating.

We aim to continuously improve in terms of environmental sustainability.
